Hi, my name is Pat Kight Cheney. I was in the Redcoat Band 1971-1974. This story is about the first halftime show the Redcoats did where everyone in the band dressed up. For Homecoming 1974 the Redcoats did a nostalgia show that featured music from the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. Everyone in the band dressed in clothing from one of those decades. The great music, the fabulous costumes and the “surprise entrance” that had everyone asking “Where’s the Redcoat Band” made this show a fan favorite. Originally, we were just going to do this show for Homecoming, but it was so popular we decided to take it to Florida. Like all the Georgia fans, the Florida fans loved the show.
