Michael Atkinson and Amy Atkinson (neé Sunderland) met through Redcoats in 2007 when Michael was a freshman and Amy was a sophomore. Michael played trombone and Amy played pit percussion. They were introduced through mutual Redcoat friends Josh Mosley and Drew Hooks, who both went to highschool with Michael and were in the pit with Amy. Michael and Amy started dating in November of 2007 and remained a steady “Redcoat couple” until their marriage on July 10, 2010.
